Development Workshop (Namibian NGO)- Sanitation project – Windhoek (Hepatitis outbreak)
Thu, 29 Aug 2019
DWN is a charity trust registered in Namibia, with a focus on informal settlements, town planning and provision of appropriate infrastructure and services. DWN implemented a programme called sanitation centres across Windhoek’s informal settlements, by constructing demonstration pit latrine toilets to encourage the community to stop “Open Defecation” and guide residents and local entrepreneurs in constructing such low cost systems themselves. This is achieved by supporting residents in the informal settlements to build their own latrines.
