Namibian Government Support Health System In The Fight Against Covid-19

As the COVID-19 remains a global health pandemic, the De Beers Group regard the health and well-being of its workforce, the community and all Namibians a first priority. In support of the Namibian health system the De Beers Group quickly stepped in during the extraordinary times to contain the spread of the virus into our communities and placed an order for 30 Drager Oxylog 3000Plus Ventilators and 30 Vital Signs Monitors with Namibia X-Ray and Imaging Technologies cc, and additional Personal Protective Equipment from various suppliers for the health care workers. The lead times, demand across the world and sourcing of this equipment is unbelievable long (6 months) and Debmarine Namibia with its effective supply chain infrastructure could expedite the procurement of the indicated items.
The final handover of the medical equipment took place on Wednesday, 2 December 2020 at the boardroom of the Ministry of Health and Social Services. In attendance was the Honourable Minister of Health and Social Services, the Executive Director of the Ministry of Health and Social Services and the Chairperson from the DNF.
